❓ FAQ – Everything you need to know about vintage French cognac

What is a vintage cognac?

A vintage cognac comes from a single harvest year, unlike classic cognacs, which are blends of several vintages. The 2012 vintage of Cognac Maquisards x Ferrand guarantees complete traceability and absolute rarity.

Why is French cognac so famous?

French cognac benefits from an AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) label, which imposes strict production regulations. Distilled in Charente from specific grape varieties and aged in oak barrels, it reflects the excellence of the terroir and French winemaking expertise.

What is cask strength cognac?

What is cask strength cognac?
A cask strength cognac is bottled without reduction (no water added). It therefore retains all of its natural power, as seen here with the 51% vol. of this Maquisards cuvée. This guarantees maximum aromatic intensity.

How long can you keep cognac?

A cognac can be stored indefinitely once bottled, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. This 60-piece vintage edition can be enjoyed today or further refined in the cellar.

Where to buy a collectible French cognac?

Collector's cognacs like this Maquisards x Ferrand 2012 vintage are available in limited edition on specialist sites like demichellot.com, or at certain high-end wine merchants.
